Desire

With so much of love in me
For the beauty that you are
O cold, unfeeling death
You are so near
Your presence so felt
In everything around me
And yet so unreachable you are
In this perennial attempt
To reach you

What will come out...
Of our union
Out of your cold grasp
Over my arms
Out of your steel look
Over my self
Out of your icy kiss
On my cheek

The metal shines
The sharpness grinds
With all the grandeur
The shine finally makes
Its mark
On my desire
To be yours forever...

ur indeliable footprints on the powder white, sun kissed beach of music is such a treat for the soaring eyes in the search of unabashed, unbound and unadulterated
voice of SOUL, all those who gonna venture into this confluence of purity, passion & panache.

leave enough of them so dat the unruly and ever-so-ruffling waves of time can not wpie dem out....
at least 4 d sake of those who love it to the hilt.

death that unfelt feeling of of the world turning grey, as if one starts seeing through a frosted glass, the unfelt feeling of loss of feelings, the dark world that lies beyond, something like u are gonna sleep to ur deepest sleep and never wake up again, carrying along with u all the knowledge u have gained throughout your life, killing the desire to show the world what u could have done if had lived longer and finally the repent that u could not gain the knowledge that u had always wanted because the life given to you was short and this unwelcomed death took that opportunity from you is really HORRIFYING
great post dear for showing the death this way, definitely scaring the thanatophobics.

hey Anonymous...glad that u found the post good...yes death does appear horrifying...devastating...but this fear attached with the notion of death also threatens to snatch away the beauty of life...to the verge of forgetting to enjoy life.Death is a phase of life...though a very short one.A sweet and needful culmination of something so beautiful and thereby adding meaning to that(life) to which it is inseparable....
i dint intend to scare anybody though..:-)..not the thanatophobics(they are already a bit too scared)

Amongst the ones i have read so far this is the one that i enjoyed most. And death is not horrifying or devastating. May be untimely death is but as Dumbledore said for an well organized mind death can be the next biggest adventure.

Bubblyemotions said...

yes satyabrata...that's true...and also Donne once said...''One short sleepe past, wee wake eternally,
And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die. ''

Huh!! a Donne fan :) his poems are truly metaphysical and he was spot on about death with this one. By the way you have aptly named it "Desire". The title even reminded me of that doors song...

"They are waiting to take us into
The severed garden
Do you know how pale and wanton thrillful
Comes death on a strange hour
Unannounced, unplanned for
Like a scaring over-friendly guest you've brought to bed
Death makes angels of us all
And gives us wings
Where we had shoulders
Smooth as raven's claws"

keep it up
