I have metamorphosed to me
Dont know how.. dont know when
Searching for light everyday at the dawn
It just happened
The things that were haunting my heart
Dont know how.. dont know when
Searching for light everyday at the dawn
It just happened
The things that were haunting my heart
Haunting my mind...Are gone
Gone like the western wind
The past as they say has passed
Taking with it the old individual of me
The one who was so happy
The one who was so blind
Gone like the western wind
The past as they say has passed
Taking with it the old individual of me
The one who was so happy
The one who was so blind
...that it cudnt know
The mirage it was following
Where every smile was only faith
The reality was far worse underneath
Ignorant i was, in the realm of illusion
When the dark had consumed my shadow
Even the mirror had conspired
Where every smile was only faith
The reality was far worse underneath
Ignorant i was, in the realm of illusion
When the dark had consumed my shadow
Even the mirror had conspired
To show a distorted picture
I had only craved for sanity
While the insanity was too secure
And my all hopes had vanished
I had only craved for sanity
While the insanity was too secure
And my all hopes had vanished
Beyond every persuasion
Must my subconscious has got this realised
That time has brought this present
I woke up to see the light now
That redefines my shadow
Here i can hear my echo
Must my subconscious has got this realised
That time has brought this present
I woke up to see the light now
That redefines my shadow
Here i can hear my echo
That no longer reverberates unanswered
Here i look at my image
Yes i have metamorphosed.
Here i look at my image
Yes i have metamorphosed.

the phrases in the poem perhaps depicts the transformation of someone from one state of mind to other, an experience which only the narrator had felt and only he can understand. its difficult for somebody who hasnot that experience to feel the poem. anonyomus lets try to understand him from his point of view...
If this process of the author so beautifully portrayed as metamorphosis brings with it such lucid sense of clarity and confidence then why not everything not so good in this world are very intent on undergoing that metamorphosis even if a part of it materialized,we shall get this earth full of lot better people, better things and better places. And certainly with these better treasures our earth will become a far lovely and better place to live in, if not the best one...
@NICHOLE: May be because not everything is destined to do so. If everything, everybody, everywhere changes to be something good yet it cannot satisfy everyone as a positive change and they will still need some more changes. This process will go on and on...
Thanks Nicole for your comment...though that could be an interpretation of the poem, what i feel is that here the author is not bent upon finding out the contrast between bad and good but rather between two stages of his/her life. The two stages could be good too(atleast to his/her eyes). And the theme concentrates on the smoothness of the transition from a situation of endless pursuit to that of satiation
@ Carter..Thanks for the comment.I cannot fully agree with you on that as you know we all change, and we have to which is why change is called the only constant.
