Promises
Promises of unblemished momentsPromises of moments, moments of truthfulness,
Togetherness and trust...
Of times of sharing, bonding and reliving
Of days ,and nights...of twilights...
Mountains of promises still lie
Gathering dust
Of broken hopes,torn wishes
And all that's lost....
Promises of one who seemed like heaven
Like heavenly nectar, heavenly light
Promises are but promises
And as somebody said...
Promises are made only to be broken.

....From my Friend
....and all of a sudden,
slipping out of my otherwise sticky hands
are grains of sands...
which are what , they all call words
so unfaithful they are....
grinning at me,
as i try to grab them by their tails
they unleash....despite my futility
to bask in their glory, in her eyes

A Cup for You
A cup full of smiles
A cup full of laughter
For times of goodness
And times when you are near
A cup empty of sorrow
A cup empty of fear
For when i have you by my side
And moments when you are here
A cup full of hope
A cup empty of all
One for what i feel for you
And the other for what you feel
A cup full for you my dear
A cup empty for me

I sat beside her on a chilly winter morning
I sat beside her on a chilly winter morningOn a stone in our backyard
Our hands enveloped around each other
My eyes rested upon hers and hers directed
Towards the vast expanse of land
That outstretched before us
She sat like a small child
Resting her head against my shoulder
I could feel that she needed me
More than anything else in the world perhaps.
I thought she liked me…my being with her..
Her pefume was mild
Unlike her age
Her sorrow was deadening
Unlike her self
I wanted to be her companion
...a part of her
Or to be something to her
...in the least
Trying to be so much more
And yet so much less...
Her loss was comprehensible
My feelings incomprehensible
That day i found
The man in me ...much unlike myself
